The IW387905 pays tribute to IWC’s 1994 reference 3705, the pioneering black ceramic “Black Flieger.” Its black dial recreates the original’s instrument-like layout, with elapsed hours and minutes at 9 and 12 o’clock, small seconds at 6, and day-date display at 3.
The 41 mm case, chronograph pushers, and pin buckle are made from IWC-developed Ceratanium, combining the lightness and toughness of titanium with a ceramic-like hard black surface. Inside, the IWC-manufactured caliber 69380 uses a column-wheel chronograph architecture and provides approximately 46 hours of power reserve.
