The circular moisture indicator at six o’clock recalls Blancpain’s historic MIL-SPEC dive watches and was designed to alert a diver if moisture entered the case. Blancpain revived that distinctive feature in this 40.3 mm Tribute to Fifty Fathoms MIL-SPEC, introduced in 2017 as a limited edition of only 500 pieces.
The stainless-steel case is paired with Blancpain’s signature unidirectional sapphire-insert bezel, sapphire crystal, and a highly legible sunburst black dial with date between four and five o’clock. Inside, the automatic manufacture caliber 1151 provides approximately 100 hours of power reserve. This example is presented on its black sail-canvas strap with the Blancpain presentation case, warranty card, and documentation shown. The presentation case displays age-related wear to its interior surfaces, visible in the supplied set photographs.
